After being at Vision Blakehurst for 2 years I had never been able to take a 9 week challenge seriously as every time they came around I was injured. This 9 week challenge was no different. I started the challenge with back and shoulder injuries that meant that my program was altered to cater for my injuries. The reason I decided to still enter the 9 week challenge even though I was injured was because of my auntie's recent success at Vision Blakehurst and I wanted to see if I could do the same. My mum has lost around 17kg here at Blakehurst but I was never able to have the same success as her. Every 9 week program I have always struggled to reached my goal. Although this 9 week challenge I had the motivation to achieve my goal of 10kg because the harder I worked I knew that it would mean that I would be one step closer to being noticed by the state cricket selectors. Fitness has also been the reason that I never get a look in even though I might have the skills, they always go for the players that are fit. It all comes down to fitness and that is all I needed to put my head down and get stuck into training. I love training that has never been the question. I love the feeling of coming out of a session exhausted and knowing that I have put everything into it. The nutrition has and will always be the issue. I am a very fussy eater and only like certain things so when it came to this challenge I made sure that I stuck to the things I liked and ate in the right time of day. The Vision protein shakes were my best friends throughout the 9-week challenge and eating regularly really made a difference. I feel like the 9-week challenge has given me a little more confidence (although I don't have much anyway so you most likely can't tell) but it has helped me visualize that if I have a goal that hard work and motivation will help me achieve it. Thank you to everyone at Vision Blakehurst I couldn't have done it without you. Now its time to achieve the next goal!!!
