My "road to redemption" started July 3 2017. After a disappointing result in the #GCM17 marathon, I identified that my lead up to the event was missing critical elements, namely strength training and dietary discipline. Closely working with Brad and Joe, we devised a plan that seemingly involved 4 million squats and lunges to build up a glute that has never ever functioned before. 16 weeks out from the #GCM18 marathon I was given a running plan that incorporated even more squats and a sensible build up to long runs. Joining the run clubs at Vision helped immensely; the motivation of the Vision family makes the long training regime enjoyable. On marathon day, injury hit early, but the Vision family was with me every step of the way (literally) to help me finish the gruelling event.
