Client from Pyrmont | Trainer: Sachiko Fujita
When Amy walked into Vision Pyrmont on 20 January 2026, she wasn’t unhappy with how she looked.
In fact, she was already in pretty good shape.
She just knew she could be better.
She had an important occasion coming up in October, and she wanted to feel and look her best when the day came around. There wasn’t a huge amount she needed to lose. She simply had a picture in her head of how she wanted to look and feel, and she decided to do something about it.
That’s when she started training with Sachi.
From the beginning, Amy took it seriously.
She made the time to train. She stayed disciplined with her diet. She put in the work.
And the results came quickly.
In just two months, Amy lost 5kg of body fat without losing muscle. Her body fat percentage went from 23.8% to 17%, and 2.4kg of the fat she lost came from around her belly.
It was an incredible result.
But what happened after those first two months is what makes Amy’s story more meaningful.
Life carried on.
There were work functions. There were holidays. The excitement of starting something new naturally settled into normal life.
Between March and July, Amy slowly gained around 2kg of body fat, including about 1kg around her belly.
But instead of seeing this as failure, Amy started to understand herself better.
Her weight training had become something she simply didn't negotiate with herself about. She enjoyed it, and it stayed in her week.
What she noticed was that when life got busy, her diet and cardio were the first things to slip.
Now she knew where she needed to focus.
And Sachi helped her find another reason to keep moving.
Amy had always wanted to be able to run 6–7km continuously, twice a week. So when Sachi encouraged her to train for the City2Surf, it gave Amy something to work towards.
Her running suddenly had a purpose.
She had a reason not to skip it.
Week by week, the consistency came back.
By October, Amy had brought her body fat back to around 19%, while also completing the City2Surf in her best time.
But if you only looked at the numbers, you would miss what actually changed.
Amy became stronger.
Not just physically.
She became more confident in what she was capable of.
In her own words:
> “Sachi has completely changed my body, my strength and my mindset. She pushes me far beyond what I ever thought I was capable of and somehow always gets more out of me, even when I think I have nothing left.”
That sentence says a lot about what Sachi has meant to Amy.
Sometimes a trainer's job isn't simply to tell you what to do.
Sometimes it's to see something in you before you can see it yourself.
To ask for one more rep.
To encourage you to keep running.
To remind you that a few weeks off track doesn't mean you've lost everything.
And sometimes, it's simply to believe that you're capable of more.
Amy also told us something else that meant a lot to the team.
After a long day at work, she genuinely looks forward to coming into the studio, training, having a laugh and seeing everyone.
That matters to us.
Because Amy didn't need someone to completely change her life.
She was already doing many things well.
She just wanted to become a little better than she was.
And along the way, with Sachi believing in her, Amy discovered that the version of herself she was chasing was actually capable of more than she had imagined.
Maybe that's what makes Amy's story worth sharing.
You don't have to be unhappy with where you are.
You don't have to be starting from zero.
And you certainly don't have to get everything right every week.
Sometimes, you just need to believe that you can become better.
And sometimes, it helps to have someone who believes it before you do.
