Spicy Sausage Patties with Lettuce Wraps

  • 400g Beef Mince
  • 1 Tsp Grated Fresh Ginger 
  • 1 Green Chilli, De-Seeded & Chopped
  • 1 Red Chilli, De-Seeded & Chopped
  • 2 Tsp English Mustard
  • 1 Garlic Clove, Peeled & Grated 
  • Zest of 1 Lemon 
  • 1 Spring Onion, Finely Sliced
  • 2 Tsp Chopped Fresh Coriander
  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil 
  • To Serve: Leaves from iceberg, escarole or pitta breads or flat breads, warmed.


  1. Add mince into a bowl, and then add the ginger, chilli’s, mustard, garlic, lemon zest, spring onion and coriander.
  2. Mix everything together thoroughly and then make small patties and shape it into a little disc.
  3. Heat the oil in a frying pan and cook the patties over a medium heat for about 3 minutes a side or until properly cooked through.
  4. Transfer to a platter and arrange the lettuce leaves, flat breads and anything else you want to eat with them.
