Apple Bacon Broccoli Salad

A fun twist on a family favourite.

  • 100g Fat Free Bacon, Diced
  • Spray Oil Olive Oil
  • 2 Medium Shallots, Thinly Sliced
  • 2 Large Broccoli Heads
  • 1 Apple 
  • 30g Dry Roasted Almonds, Chopped
  • 30mL Japanese Sesame Mayo Dressing


  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degreed Celsius. 
  2. Place a pan over medium-high heat, once the pan is hot add the oil and shallots to fry. 
  3. Cook the bacon. 
  4. Chop the broccoli stems along with the florets. 
  5. Cut the apple into matchsticks and roughly chop the almonds.
  6. Add the broccoli into a large mixing bowl along with the dressing and toss until the broccoli is evenly coated. Then toss together with the apple, almonds and bacon. 
  7. Serve with a lean piece of protein.
