Before anna-before
After anna-after

I was inspired to start my fitness journey after trying everything to lose weight and keep it off without success. Over the years, I joined various gyms—Zumba, Pilates, etc.—which were fun at first, but I eventually felt unsupported, especially for my age group. Hormonal changes made me feel like I was in a different body: constant lethargy, brain fog, hot flashes, joint aches, and growing hopelessness. Though I had found a nutrition plan that once worked, after menopause, food alone wasn’t enough. I realised something was missing.

Ana started at the end of 2023 and has now lost almost 12kgs. She worked hard at navigating the whole process, coming to 2 PT sessions weekly, group classes every other day, focusing on her food with her trainer who kept her accountable to her goals. She changed habits and made lifestyle changes. Ana is a bright light in our studio, who also influenced her husband and daughter to join.

Q: What has been the biggest change you’ve noticed in yourself — physically, mentally, or emotionally?
A: you might think that joining a personalised training program is only about losing weight and eating consciously, but it’s so much more. It affects the whole person.
I was genuinely surprised to feel an emotional shift as early as week two, when I had already lost 1kg.
After years of trying without success, finally seeing results made a huge impact on me.
The biggest change has definitely been in my mindset. It hasn’t been easy,  I’ve had to put in the work and stay consistent, but once I created the habit of exercising, it became easier. My mood and energy levels improved, my relationship with food changed, and the satisfaction I started to feel became my biggest motivation to keep going.

Most importantly, my self-esteem grew, and menopause symptoms went away. I no longer believe that losing weight and feeling fit is impossible at my age, and that change in thinking has been life-changing.

Q: What would you say to someone who’s just starting out and feeling unsure?
A: I think most of us reach a point where we start questioning our lifestyle, often due to health issues or a loss of energy and confidence. Reflecting on my own experience, and seeing the real results in others, I can honestly say that joining a fitness program like Vision truly works.
Their approach guarantees success because it’s personal.

The trainers are highly qualified and really understand the complexity of the body and the importance of nutrition. What makes the biggest difference is that their sessions and classes are tailored, there’s no one-size-fits-all. We’re all different, and they design a program that works specifically for you and your circumstances.

So if you’re feeling unsure, I’d say: trust the process. You won’t be doing it alone, and the support is there every step of the way.
