My time at Vision began by filling in a card at a local Coffee Shop. I knew I should lose a little weight and eat better than what I was doing. With 2 teenage girls I spent my time running them around to activities after my workday finished and didn’t even consider trying to get any exercise for myself. I decided to throw myself into it and hoped I could prove the slogan ‘birthday suit alterations’ to be true.
My first goals were set at losing 5kgs and to be able to run one lap of the local park - which was about 500m. Fast forward 10 or so years and I lost my 5kgs (plus a few more) and I ran my lap of the park plus a couple of half marathons (among other events).
My current goal is based toward increasing muscle which I feel is so important as I get older, and osteopenia is a factor. Vision is a huge and very important part of my life, as are the friendships and relationships I have developed with trainers and fellow clients.
