Judy joined Vision earlier in 2025 after deciding it was time to take control of her health. Working in a hospital keeps her active and constantly on her feet, but years of wear and tear had caught up. She came in with low energy, reduced mobility, and ongoing pain from a rotator cuff injury and a double knee replacement.
Through consistent attendance at our BASE, FLEX and MAX group sessions, Judy has rebuilt her mobility, strength and endurance far beyond what she believed possible. Her progress was on full display during her recent trip to Greece, where she confidently walked and hiked across 3 islands without needing breaks or transport. She felt comfortable exploring everything on foot and fully enjoying the experience.
One of her biggest gym milestones was learning to squat with a barbell. At first, she couldn’t get her arms into position and didn’t have the upper body strength to support the bar. After working closely with her trainer Jess and committing to targeted mobility work, Judy not only managed to squat with the bar, she also competed in our Strength Challenge and lifted beyond bar weight.
Now, Judy is preparing for her next adventures with the Vision Penrith community including Mt Kosciuszko in 2026 and she is also gearing up to complete the Camino pilgrimage in 2026. Her journey shows that it is never too late to regain strength, improve movement and open the door to experiences you once thought were out of reach.
