Client from Bondi Junction | Trainer: Gaea
When Emma joined Vision almost two years ago, losing weight was never the goal.
She wanted to become stronger.
Seeing her mum endure treatment and countless hospital visits changed the way she understood her own body. Entering perimenopause brought another turning point.
A friend encouraged her to give Vision a try. It didn't take long before Emma was, in her words, "addicted to the Vision model."
"I didn't have much weight to shift. It was more about the fear factor of getting older. I wanted to take care of myself without having to worry about the scales."
Emma has always prioritised healthy eating and exercise. What Vision gave her was the education to go with it - a real understanding of nutrition and training, rather than guesswork.
Instead of chasing the number on the scales, Emma is now focused on building muscle, preventing weight gain and staying one step ahead of menopause.
But the biggest change wasn't the one she expected.
"No one talks about the knock-on effect of training. I didn't just see myself become stronger, but the change I felt mentally was the biggest shift."
As her confidence grew, so did everything around it. Emma stepped away from a business she was unhappy in. She became more independent. She says she's even become a better mum.
"I don't think anyone talks about the part of you that changes before your body does."
A huge part of that shift has been Emma's trainer, Gaea. Emma loves being pushed - but just as important is having a female trainer who understands her body and keeps showing her exactly how strong she can be.
"Because of Gaea, I know I will have a Personal Trainer for life."
Emma's advice to anyone starting their own fitness journey? Be patient. The results that matter most were never going to happen overnight.
"Fitness is a long-term game. You have to accept that it won't happen in a couple of months."
Emma recently hit a 60kg deadlift PB. Her focus now is simple - keep building muscle, stay consistent, and work towards getting her visceral fat levels into the green.
For Emma, the goal was never to be smaller.
It's to be stronger, healthier and more confident in the years ahead.
