Morning Motivation: Empowering and Enslaved Mindset

You're sleeping peacefully in your comfortable bed, nothing disturbing you, your mind is at ease and then you suddenly hear your alarm. Be careful now, this is the most crucial moment of the whole day.

 

You'll either stop your alarm and get out of bed or hit the snooze button and continue to sleep. It'll either give you momentum to smash through the day or drain your energy and set you behind.

 

Empowering and enslaved mindset

 

What's the first thing you think of when you hear empowering? It maybe someone who is strong, confident especially in controlling one's life.

 

Now erase that thought and think of the word enslaved? Weak, lacking especially in controlling one's life may pop up.

 

If you had to choose one or the other which one would you choose?

 

Well, you are probably thinking that it's very obvious which one you'll want to choose, of course the empowering mindset but in fact many people including myself at times have fallen into the deep rut of having an enslaved mindset.

 

Why? There are many excuses; being tired, having low esteem, pain and discomfort etc...

When these excuses arise, we need to ask ourselves one important thing; you have a choice. It is not set in stone.

 

Gather the courage and determination to change your mindset from being enslaved to being empowered. Count to 5. 1,2,3,4,5 and then immediately think of a person who you look up to as a role model. What characteristics do they have? How would they wake up in the morning? What type of feeling do they contain? Powerful, meaning and alive. You don't want to feel vulnerable, purposeless and dead.

Correct? Why put up with those negative feelings? Get your mindset sorted out, take a deep breath in and as soon as you breath out, get out of the bed with a burst of energy right now! Nothing can stop you but yourself. You are the master of your own mind don't be the slave! Rise!
