Radhika’s journey with Vision Personal Training Leichhardt started the same way a lot of our clients do. Through a simple conversation. A friend from another Vision studio who had seen what was possible and encouraged her to take that first step.
At the time, her health wasn’t where she wanted it to be. She was dealing with high blood sugar, polycystic ovaries, protein resistance, obesity, and very low cardio fitness. It wasn’t just about weight. It was about how she felt day to day, and knowing something needed to change. As she put it, “I knew I had to do something, but I also knew I couldn’t do it the way I had tried before.”
So instead of going to extremes, she made a different decision. She started working with Vision Leichhardt and her expert trainer, Nick Gounder, and focused on building something sustainable. From early on, it was about consistency, support, and creating a routine that actually fit her life. She leaned into the group classes, connected with the people around her, and started to build momentum. “Nick’s positivity and encouragement made a huge difference, but so did the group classes. It didn’t feel like I was doing it alone.”
Over the course of 2025, that consistency started to pay off. Radhika lost 20kg, her blood work returned to healthy ranges, and her strength and cardio fitness improved in a way she hadn’t experienced before. But more importantly, she became someone who consistently showed up for herself.
Today, she’s 22kg down and doing things she never thought she would. She’s running, not because she has to, but because she wants to. She’s enjoying boxing, pushing herself through X-Train sessions, and continuing to build strength each week. “I never thought I’d be someone who runs voluntarily, but here we are.”
One of the biggest shifts came from how she approached her schedule. With a child at home, time was always going to be a challenge. Instead of letting that hold her back, she made her training a priority. “Consistency is everything. I treated my PT sessions and classes like work meetings. They were diarised and non-negotiable.” That structure is what allowed everything else to fall into place.
Last year, Radhika was recognised as Vision Leichhardt’s Inspiration of the Year. Not just because of the 22kg she’s lost, but because of the way she’s gone about it. Showing up, staying consistent, and committing to the process even when life was busy.
