One year. –10,000 grams. A whole lot of strength gained.

Lisa didn’t just lose weight — she rebuilt her relationship with food, pushed through grief, and found the belief to do what she once thought was impossible.

Her story isn’t just about numbers. It’s about resilience, growth, and taking her health back — one gram at a time.

Here, Lisa shares her journey in her own words — raw, real, and incredibly powerful:

My 1st Year Anniversary = Entering the –10,000 Grams Club!!!  My weight loss journey started in May 2024 at Vision PT with John. My weight was out of control, and I needed support, guidance and encouragement. Three weeks in, my dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Life shifted to survival mode — hospital visits, stress, emotional eating.

Food has been a struggle for 29 years. My eldest son (29) has a chromosomal condition and must follow a strict, locked-away diet. My daughter was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at 2.5. Exactly 1 year later, my son was also diagnosed at age 7. I’ve lived with Type 1 diabetes for over 50 years myself.

When I started, I couldn’t talk about food — the anxiety was too much. I just needed to move. Regularly. Even though I’m allergic to exercise

My first scan showed I’d gained 4,000 grams. That was my wake-up call. So began the journey of building a healthy relationship with food — with support from John and Vision.

Was it easy? No. Hard? Yes. Do I like exercise? Still allergic. Do I see the benefits? Absolutely. Tears? Yes. Laughs? Definitely. Will I keep going? 100%. (Except ringing that bell haha!)

Would I recommend Vision? YES. Thank you, John, for helping me do what I didn’t think was possible.
