I began my journey at Vision at the beginning of 2017 after gaining a bit of weight on a holiday around America. I was at the heaviest weight I had ever been and was lacking energy and motivation. My initial plan was to come to Vision just to lose the weight I had gained on my holiday so I could once again feel confident in my two piece cheerleading costume. After a few weeks of hard work, I finally had my motivation back, had lost weight and felt more confident in myself.
A couple months in I noticed on the studio events board that there were teams entering the Wollongong Triathlon and my new goal became to train for the triathlon. I had competed in a triathlon previously in high school and loved it however I didn't have any friends who enjoyed competing in events so I was happy to finally have a team to compete with! I completed the 'super sprint' triathlon and have competed in this distance again at the Huskisson and Callala triathlon festivals. I also participated in the Syd-Gong cycle which was so much fun! My next goal is the triathlon sprint distance!
Almost a year later I have achieved the body shape I wanted, I have increased my strength and fitness and most of all I have had fun in the process!
