Being a busy working mum, I realised I wasn’t prioritising my health and fitness. My weight was creeping up and my clothes weren’t fitting like they used to. I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and realised something needed to change.
I came to Vision for a new start with my health and fitness journey. I wanted the accountability of having a personal trainer, and someone who could point me in the right direction so that I wasn't wasting my time on the wrong exercises or wrong foods.
Kim immediately understood my situation and developed a program for me that I could fit into a busy week. With two PT sessions a week and participation in some other great classes and events organised by Vision, I lost 5kg within my first 9 weeks. Kim also helped me with my diet. I was concerned that this would involve complex meal plans that would be expensive and time consuming, but that was not the case! With some very simple tweaks to my diet, I was able to meet my macro targets. Within weeks I was feeling lighter, stronger and happier.
It's not all about the cosmetics, but it feels so great to go shopping and fit into a smaller size or buy a dress that you wouldn't normally go for.
Since May 2023 I have lost around 8kg. My goals for this year are to reach 10kg weight loss and participate in some organised 5-10km runs alongside my Vision teammates. My key takeaway so far is that Vision creates a plan that works for you as an individual, which is actually achievable. I feel great!
