“Before joining Vision PT I felt frustrated and disappointed in myself. I felt like no matter how hard I tried I couldn’t get back to how I had previously felt in my body. I was exercising regularly and trying to be mindful about what I was eating, yet nothing seemed to make a difference. That was incredibly disheartening because it felt like the effort I was putting in wasn’t translating into results. Emotionally it left me feeling quite stuck. The problem was that it didn’t feel structured or purposeful. Exercise had started to feel more like a chore than something I enjoyed.
What has surprised me the most is that I actually enjoy going into the studio. I don’t feel judged or questioned, instead I feel supported and encouraged, which makes a huge difference to how you approach training.
Another big surprise has been learning how to manage my nutrition in a sustainable way. I’ve discovered that I don’t have to deprive myself of foods I enjoy. Instead, it’s about understanding balance, planning well, and making sure I stick to a structure that supports my goals.
That shift in mindset from restriction to learning how to fuel my body properly has been incredibly empowering and something I didn’t expect when I first started.
One of the biggest benefits has been the accountability. Knowing that someone is there to support me and help me stay on track with my plan has made a huge difference. It’s not just about showing up to train it’s about having someone invested in helping me succeed.
What I really value is that this support isn’t about being pushed or yelled at to work harder. Instead, it’s about understanding what works best for me. My trainer takes the time to explain why certain things help, and how to structure my training and habits in a way that fits into my life.
That approach has made the whole process feel sustainable and achievable. Rather than feeling pressured, I feel supported and guided, which has helped me stay consistent and build habits that I know I can maintain long term. My advice would be to just start. You don’t have to have everything figured out before you walk through the door - that’s what the trainers are there to help with.
I think a lot of people assume they need to already be fit, confident, or know exactly what they’re doing before joining, but that hasn’t been my experience at all. Vision PT is supportive and welcoming, and the trainers focus on helping you build habits that work for your life rather than trying to force you into a one-size-fits-all approach.
The biggest thing I’ve learned is that small, consistent changes add up. Having guidance, accountability and encouragement makes the whole process far more achievable than trying to do it alone.
If you’re thinking about it, take the step - it might surprise you how much you can enjoy the process and what you’re capable of achieving.”
