Have you ever wondered why some people bounce back from surgery like nothing happened, whilst others feel like they never quite recover? The answer isn’t luck or genetics, the bottom line is preparation and consistency.

At Vision Personal Training, we educate, motivate, and inspire our clients to achieve lifelong fat loss results. That goes far beyond the number on the scales. It’s about helping Australians live stronger, move better, and stay healthier for longer. That’s where prehab and rehab come into play.

The Stats You Can’t Ignore
•    70% of Australians aged 65+ have at least one chronic condition. (ABS, 2022)
•    Falls are the number one cause of injury-related hospitalisations and deaths in older Australians. (AIHW, 2023)
•    Only 15% of Australian adults meet strength-based activity guidelines. (AIHW, 2020)
•    Strength and balance training can reduce falls by up to 30%. (WHO, 2021)

These numbers aren’t just significant; BUT you may or may not know that they are preventable. The right training habits today can be the difference between a confident recovery or a prolonged setback.

What Is Prehab and Rehab?
Prehabilitation (prehab) is like putting air in your tyres and fuel in your tank before a big road trip. It prepares your muscles, joints, and nervous system to handle the stress of surgery so you’re not running on empty when it matters most.

Rehabilitation (rehab) is what you do after the journey; like getting your car serviced after thousands of kilometres. We all know your car will still run without it. But not as smoothly, not as efficiently, and certainly not for as long. Your body is no different.
In short: prehab helps you go in stronger, rehab helps you come out better.

Our Approach: Strength. Mobility. Coordination.
We personalise every program to help you feel your best at any age or stage. Whether you’re getting ready for surgery, coming out of it, or simply want to move and feel better, our training method is built on:
•    Strength Training – Builds lean muscle, protects joints, and maintains bone density. This is critical as we age, especially for women, who are at higher risk of osteoporosis post-menopause.
•    Flexibility & Mobility Work – Loosens tight muscles, improves joint range of motion, and increases circulation. This reduces post-operative pain and speeds up healing.
•    Balance & Coordination Training – Enhances stability, prevents falls, and trains the nervous system which is key for maintaining independence long-term.

Why It Matters
When you combine smart training with the right guidance:
•    You recover faster and with fewer complications
•    You experience less pain and more energy
•    You reduce your risk of falls and re-injury - especially important when falls are the leading cause of injury-related hospitalisations in older Australians
•    You stay active, independent, and confident well into the best years of your life

At Vision we combine expert coaching, nutritional guidance, and proven accountability systems so you can train with purpose and peace of mind.
If you - or someone you care about is preparing for surgery, recovering from an injury, or simply wants to stay strong for life, we’re here to help. A longer life is worth it when you’re strong enough to live it!

Are you our next success story?
