How were things before you joined Vision? Before I joined Vision I was very physically active, however I was struggling to gain strength in my hips and legs. This was causing me pain during long shifts behind the coffee machine. I'm a very determined and driven person but had a tendency to push too much and burn myself out. This obviously impacted on my mental health.
Tell me about your latest journey (the highlight of it). The highlight of my most recent journey has been completing a 16 week marathon program with the support of my partner, close friends, my personal trainer and many other people at Vision.
What results have you achieved lately? This culminated in achieving my goal of running a marathon in under 3hrs 30mins! (a new personal best!). This was after having not run a marathon for over 8 years.
What would you tell someone who is thinking about joining Vision? Vision is such a supportive community. All the staff are extremely friendly and have a wealth of knowledge to share. Give it a go because I've found the reward is worth the challenge.
