- How were things before you joined Vision?
Although I had always been active and played sport, I found myself lacking confidence and motivation, feeling lethargic and feeling like I should be getting more out of myself. My dietary habits were inconsistent, and I needed something to help combat my anxiety. An inconsistent year of football including some frustrating soft tissue injuries led me to do something about getting back on track.
- Tell me about your journey (the highlight of it)
My Vision journey began by hoping just to give the first 6 to 9 weeks a crack and see what happened. The first 6 weeks I lost over 5kg and increased my capacity for strength and endurance. The great studio environment at Vision made me feel part of a community of like-minded people all smashing goals. The highlights of my journey include forming strong bonds with trainers and other clients, running a 15km fun run at a good pace, and generally learning to be accountable to my own training and my own self-respect.
- What results have you achieved?
I'm most proud of the overall consistency in the change of lifestyle and staying accountable to training. Specific results including losing close to 10kg and lowering my body fat percentage in the process. I've seen an overall improvement in strength, endurance, flexibility and cardiovascular capacity, with the support of dead-set legend Lee. My beep test result has improved to be a 14.6 and I'm now more conscious of negative eating habits and am drinking less alcohol.
- What would you tell someone who is thinking about joining Vision?
My advice would be to just do it! Have the determination to make an improvement in your life. The sooner you get started, the sooner you start learning how to take better care of yourself. The team at Vision are life changers - A community dedicated to achieving results. Other clients will provide just as much inspiration as your trainer - something you won't have at another gym. It's all about education and support to get the best out of each individual, using an approach that's maintainable. Take some time and be willing to put in the effort, and you can tick off any goal you set yourself. Jump in head first and enjoy it!
