How was your health and fitness before you joined Vision? I had really good basic fitness. Was still playing competitive Basketball and running but was wanting to improve my fitness.
Tell me about your recent training (the highlight of it)? Recently I seem to have got on top of my injuries ( ouch wood!) I have been working in conjunction with Lexi and my Osteo to strengthen certain areas to help with overall movement. Consequently, I have been able to increase my running distance, which I am thrilled about.
What results have you achieved lately? I completed the 5kms at the Sri Chinmoy running festival at Princes park without stopping so big tick! Run Melbourne photos taken 10 years apart, both at Run Melbourne Events. Love my running buddy, we smashed 10km! Woohoo. Thanks Lexi for your massive encouragement in getting me back running. Something I thought I’d never be able to do again.
What would you tell someone who is thinking about joining Vision? Just do it! Vision has been really good for me; I have always trained on my own which can be difficult to get motivated a times. I can walk into the gym , start training, and feel supported. Lexi is very encouraging, and checks in all the time! Most people know each other by sight, so it’s a friendly gym. I love being part of a group, especially at the running events.
