Are you struggling with motivation this winter?
Feel like it’s too dark and cold to get out of bed?

We understand! We know that this time of the year is always a struggle, the sun comes up later and goes down earlier, we would rather stay in bed where its warm and comfy right?
Not only that but we eat foods that make us feel warm inside, right? Comfort food as we like to call it.

We want to help you achieve your goals this winter and have positive mindset, because we know, during winter, people eat more and move less.

Below are 5 tips on how to stay on track this winter while having low motivation.

1. Set a realistic goal with your trainer. It’s a great idea to have a sit-down chat with your trainer to express the fact you might struggle through winter, this way you and your trainer can work out what a realistic goal can be for you to achieve through winter.

2. Be prepared! Have your food for the next day ready to go in the fridge. The more prepared you are the less likely you are of going for quick and easy comfort food that may not be the best thing for you.

3. Be prepared part 2! Have your workout gear set up and ready to go before you go to bed. That way all you must do is get up, get dressed and out the door before your brain even has time to say go back to sleep.

4. Commit to doing your exercise at the studio. Whether it’s a short run, bike ride, general cardio, or your own weights training. By doing this, you’ll know you will be a little less cold when you start and will warm up much quicker. You will also have the bonus of having someone to help push you along as well.

5. Upgrade your program for the course of winter. If you think you will struggle to get your own cardio in due to the cold, talk to your trainer about doing an extra session each week with them to incorporate that extra workout. This will also give your trainer another chance to check in with you, to stay motivated and to stay on track.

Try these 5 bits of advice to help keep you on track towards your goals this winter.
